PEOPLE WHO MADE IT HAPPEN

Coach Jason Hill (Right) Contact Jason Hill

Coaching the Beachwood boys and girls varsity swim teams since 1998, Jason Hill has been coaching since 1991.  Coach Hill also is the founding and current coach of the Beachwood and East Cleveland Stingray swim clubs.  Hill has taken the Beachwood swimming program to new levels.  Before coming to Beachwood in 1997 there was no girls swim team, middle school swim team, or community swim program.  Beachwood currently has over 23 girls on its varsity team, 20 athletes on its combined boys and girls middle school swim team, and over 50 athletes enrolled on the community team.  In 1999, Beachwood produced its first state finalist at the Ohio High School State Swimming Championship.  All but two women’s team records have been broken between 1998 and 2000.   The boys high school swimming team has won the MAC conference title for the last three years.

In addition to coaching swimming, coach Hill is a 5th grade teacher at Hilltop elementary school.  He is a WVIZ master teacher and an NTTI master teacher trainer.  In the summer, he coaches swimming and is a pool manager.
