Middle School Swim Team
The Beachwood
middle school swim team season begins in October and lasts until
early December. Swimmers
practice daily at the Beachwood High School swimming pool from
3:00p.m. - 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday.

Beachwood
Stingrays community swim club practices throughout the school year
at the Beachwood High School pool.
Swimmers must be able to swim at least 50 yards unassisted. For more information, please call (216) 464-2600.

Hill
Coaching the
Beachwood boys and girls varsity swim teams since 1998, Jason Hill
has been coaching since 1991. Coach Hill also is the founding and current coach of the
Beachwood and East Cleveland Stingray swim clubs. Hill has taken the Beachwood swimming program to new levels.
Before coming to Beachwood in 1997 there was no girls swim
team, middle school swim team, or community swim program.
Beachwood currently has over 23 girls on its varsity team,
20 athletes on its combined boys and girls middle school swim
team, and over 50 athletes enrolled on the community team.
In 1999, Beachwood produced its first state finalist at the
Ohio High School State Swimming Championship.
All but two women’s team records have been broken between
1998 and 2000. The
boys high school swimming team has won the MAC conference title
for the last three years.
In
addition to coaching swimming, coach Hill is a
5th grade teacher
at Hilltop elementary school.
He is a WVIZ master teacher and an NTTI master teacher
trainer. In the
summer, he coaches
swimming and is a pool manager.

Mathew
is a Beachwood Police Officer, is beginning his second
year as an assistant coach. He was a competitive swimmer for nine
years as a member of the Heights Sailfish Swim, Shaker Sharks Swim
Club and Cleveland Heights High School. |
